VkPhysicalDeviceDeviceGeneratedCommandsFeaturesEXT(3)
Name
VkPhysicalDeviceDeviceGeneratedCommandsFeaturesEXT - Structure describing the device-generated compute features that can be supported by an implementation
C Specification
The VkPhysicalDeviceDeviceGeneratedCommandsFeaturesEXT
structure is
defined as:
// Provided by VK_EXT_device_generated_commands
typedef struct VkPhysicalDeviceDeviceGeneratedCommandsFeaturesEXT {
VkStructureType sType;
void* pNext;
VkBool32 deviceGeneratedCommands;
VkBool32 dynamicGeneratedPipelineLayout;
} VkPhysicalDeviceDeviceGeneratedCommandsFeaturesEXT;
Members
This structure describes the following features:
-
sType
is a VkStructureType value identifying this structure. -
pNext
isNULL
or a pointer to a structure extending this structure. -
deviceGeneratedCommands
indicates whether the implementation supports functionality to generate commands on the device. -
dynamicGeneratedPipelineLayout
indicates the implementation allows thepipelineLayout
member of VkIndirectCommandsLayoutCreateInfoEXT to be VK_NULL_HANDLE and VkPipelineLayoutCreateInfo can be chained off those structures'pNext
instead.
Description
If the VkPhysicalDeviceDeviceGeneratedCommandsFeaturesEXT
structure is included in the pNext
chain of the
VkPhysicalDeviceFeatures2 structure passed to
vkGetPhysicalDeviceFeatures2, it is filled in to indicate whether each
corresponding feature is supported.
If the application wishes to use a VkDevice with any features
described by VkPhysicalDeviceDeviceGeneratedCommandsFeaturesEXT
, it must add an instance of the structure,
with the desired feature members set to VK_TRUE
, to the pNext
chain of VkDeviceCreateInfo when creating the VkDevice.
